서울대 암연구소 및 간연구소가 주최한 ‘제15회 암심포지엄(The 15th CRI Cancer Symposium in Conjunction with Liver Research Institute)’이 14일 서울대 암연구소 이건희홀에서 성황리에 열렸다.
 
국내·외 150여명이 참석한 가운데 열린 이번 심포지엄은 ‘The Current Aspect of Hepatitis C Virus and Hepatocellular Carcinoma’를 주제로 해외 연자 7명과 국내 연자 4명의 발표가 진행됐다.
 
오전 세션은 주로 기초연구를 다루었으며, 오후 세션은 임상연구에 관련된 내용으로 구성됐다.
 
‘Interaction between Human and Hepatitis C Virus’를 주제로 한 첫 세션에서는 *Cellular factors involved in regulation of hepatitis C virus replication *Interplays between human and hepatitis C virus 등이 발표됐다.
 
2번째 세션은 ‘Mechanisms involved in Hepatocarcinogenesis’를 주제로 *Role of brain-derived neutrophic factor in hepatocellular carcinoma 등이, 3번째 세션은 ‘Translational Research’를 주제로 *Gene expression profiles of HCC: are they applicable to clinical practice?가 소개됐다.
 
‘Diagnosis of HCC’를 주제로 한 4번째 세션에서는 *Tumor markers for the diagnosis and the assessment 등이, 마지막 세션은 ‘Prevention and Treatment of HCC’를 주제로 *Chemoprevention of HCC: inhibitory effects of interferon and vitamin K2 in hepatocarcinogenesis 등의 발표가 이어졌다.
 
한편 서울대 암연구소는 암 정복을 위해 매진하는 모든 기초와 임상 연구자들을 대상으로 매년 암 심포지엄을 개최하고 있다.
